Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis

Research Assistant

  • Designed, trained, and deployed over 20 TensorFlow Keras Convolutional Neural Network models to detect a gunshot in audio
  • Engineered a pipeline that streamed audio from a microphone to a selected model on a Raspberry Pi. When a gunshot was detected, an alert was sent via SMS
  • Applied statistical analysis on results to find the optimal combination of different model architectures and data sets and then sent a paper to the 2019 IEEE Big Data Conference for consideration.
